It Happened One Wedding was an enjoyable read with a strong heroine and a sexy hero. I liked the heroine's sass and bit of snark and really enjoyed some of the hero's mental dialogue and his almost hurt feelings when the other main characters tried to hide the secret from him. The characters are lively and likeable. I did wish for the suspense angle from prior books in the series, though.

Bite Me was an amusing tale of hybrid shifters, were-honey badgers and a search for vengeance and retribution. Trust me, no one wants to be on the bad side of a honey badger clan! I laughed a lot though I don't recommend this as a standalone because the many appearances of previous series characters will leave you confused if you don't know them. An amusing story, if a bit light on the romance part.

Dangerous Desire was a nice escape from my day and, given that I'm a pet lover as well, I really enjoyed the animals and the fact the main characters were both pet lovers. I also appreciated Ms. Escalera's inclusion of multi-cultural characters without making a presentation of it - the characters are who they are and they just happen to be multi-cultural. I really liked that aspect of Dangerous Desire.

Once again Ms. Ione has built on folklore and mythology to evolve her fascinating world of humans, demons, angels and strange beasts. The richness of the Horsemen and how they balance the good and bad sides of their gifts (or curses) in a fascinating read...I devoured Eternal Rider in a single afternoon and was already looking to pre-order the next book in this series. Eternal Rider was fast-paced, wonderfully complex and emotion-packed.

Savor the Danger was a fast-paced, action-packed but hot, sexy romance. Ms. Foster has packed it with fantastic characters that are both strong and vulnerable and even sarcastic but loving. I liked that the plot took twists I didn't anticipate and even when I guessed what might be going on, I wasn't sure. I had to keep reading. I must admit, as a dedicated animal lover, I also loved the fact this entire series had animal characters as well and...

Review: Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison
4.5 Stars , Reviews - Books / May 5, 2011

My favorite thing, though, is Ms. Harrison's voice. I was so caught up in Dragon Bound that I was reading sections aloud to my (long-suffering) partner. I laughed out loud quite a few times and I think yelled once or twice at the characters. I was heavily immersed and very sorry to have the story end. I've put this series on my auto-buy list now and can't wait for the next one.

Review: Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh
4.5 Stars , Reviews - Books / May 1, 2011

Kiss of Snow is definitely a love story between two powerful and stubborn people, each wanting the other yet unable to give an inch until pushed to their limits. Hawke and Sienna both have a need to protect those they see as family, even when the war and Sienna's secret seem to make that impossible if they are together. Their courtship is wonderful and very wild but the characters show a depth of emotion that really held me captive. ...

Review: Navarro’s Promise by Lora Leigh
3.5 Stars , Reviews - Books / April 17, 2011

I've been a fan of Ms. Leigh's Breed series from the very beginning and it's been interesting to see the world change and grow as the series has been playing out. I've especially been looking forward to this story because I really wanted to see Navarro lose it over a woman. That much self-control just begs for a total crash. For the most part, my anticipation was fulfilled. Novarro and Mica are both interesting characters and the lus...

Review: Something About You by Julie James
4 Stars , Reviews - Books / April 14, 2011

Something About You is a great mix of strong personalities that can fall in love and become a couple without losing their individuality or careers. Instead they both give and take strength, comfort and love from each other. I truly loved Ms. James voice and the snarky but not bitter dialogue. I laughed out loud at some points and this is one of the things that really draws me to buy more books by Ms. James.
