It Happened One Wedding was an enjoyable read with a strong heroine and a sexy hero. I liked the heroine's sass and bit of snark and really enjoyed some of the hero's mental dialogue and his almost hurt feelings when the other main characters tried to hide the secret from him. The characters are lively and likeable. I did wish for the suspense angle from prior books in the series, though.

Bite Me was an amusing tale of hybrid shifters, were-honey badgers and a search for vengeance and retribution. Trust me, no one wants to be on the bad side of a honey badger clan! I laughed a lot though I don't recommend this as a standalone because the many appearances of previous series characters will leave you confused if you don't know them. An amusing story, if a bit light on the romance part.

Dangerous Desire was a nice escape from my day and, given that I'm a pet lover as well, I really enjoyed the animals and the fact the main characters were both pet lovers. I also appreciated Ms. Escalera's inclusion of multi-cultural characters without making a presentation of it - the characters are who they are and they just happen to be multi-cultural. I really liked that aspect of Dangerous Desire.

Once again Ms. Ione has built on folklore and mythology to evolve her fascinating world of humans, demons, angels and strange beasts. The richness of the Horsemen and how they balance the good and bad sides of their gifts (or curses) in a fascinating read...I devoured Eternal Rider in a single afternoon and was already looking to pre-order the next book in this series. Eternal Rider was fast-paced, wonderfully complex and emotion-packed.

Savor the Danger was a fast-paced, action-packed but hot, sexy romance. Ms. Foster has packed it with fantastic characters that are both strong and vulnerable and even sarcastic but loving. I liked that the plot took twists I didn't anticipate and even when I guessed what might be going on, I wasn't sure. I had to keep reading. I must admit, as a dedicated animal lover, I also loved the fact this entire series had animal characters as well and...

Review: When You Dare by Lori Foster
4.5 Stars , Reviews - Books / April 6, 2011

When You Dare is a book I've been looking forward to for quite a while. Molly is a really fun heroine in that she's an author of romantic suspense. As When You Dare unfolded, I could see little tidbits of real-life author issues pop up. Dare is an interesting mix of distrustful operative and someone who really does want to have close relationships with a few select people but doesn't know who he can trust or if he can trust anyone hu...

Review: Collision Course by Zoe Archer
4 Stars , Reviews - Books / April 4, 2011

Collision Course drew me in quickly and kept me reading, unwilling to put my reader down until I finished the story. There's a lot of well-portrayed battle scenes as well as hot sex scenes throughout the story and Ms. Archer does a great job of portraying two strong personalities who take each other by surprise. 4 Stars. Review: Breakaway by Kelly Jamieson
2.5 Stars , Reviews - Books / April 3, 2011

Unfortunately, I liked Breakaway overall, but did not love it. Though I had problems with Breakaway as a story, I did like Ms. Jamieson's voice and will try another story by her in the future. 2.5 Stars. Published by Ellora's Cave on 3/18/2011.

Review: Arctic Winds by Sondrae Bennett
3.5 Stars , Reviews - Books / April 2, 2011

The story of Samantha finding her place (as well as her mate) in this wolf shifter town is a warm, satisfying read that will not disappoint. I loved the tidbits of bonding and acceptance that were sprinkled throughout Arctic Winds. 3.5 Stars. Published by Lyrical Press 1/12/2011.
